CROOKED BASS - Local restaurant (IN Babson Park). Hit and miss on how well the service and food is but.... a lot of people like it and it IS close.  Friday and Saturday they usually have music.  Full bar. Website: http://crookedbass.com/  Distance 3 miles / 6 minutes

CHERRY POCKET - Known for steak and seafood but in reality they have quite a variety on the menu. If you want a taste of the local "flavor" and are into people watching this is the place to go.  It is still in Lake Wales but a bit of a hike.  Lakeside so outside dining can be nice (weather permitting).  GREAT food and a ton of it.  Full bar.  Eclectic is about the best way to describe it.  Worth the drive.  Website: http://www.cherrypocket.com/  Distance: 17 miles / 29 minutes
